Justin Bastien, currently based in Bali, is an award-winning director, photographer, and DP. His credits include National Geographic's Emmy-winning short film “Free Solo 360,” a Clio and international awards for his advertising work and photography...
Justin’s wanderlust and experience as a climber, surfer, and adventure traveler continue to inform his work, his desire to learn, explore, and tell unforgettable stories throughout the world. A self-proclaimed vagabond, Justin does it all, shooting in a wide variety of environments, from mountain summits to ocean depths. His techniques range from complex VFX composites to simple analog portraiture, and his productions from large, full-scale broadcast sets to individual, one-man documentary shoots in remote locations. His work on behalf of NGOs has taken him to Syrian refugee camps in Jordan, fisheries in Tanzania, and remote monasteries in Bhutan.
